Kingdom of Bulgaria: WW1 Royal Order of Saint Alexander, 5th Class. French made, luxurious example of silver constuction (hallmarked with the boar's head - French hallmark for silver purity), maker marked E-C (Chobillon, Paris). The Royal Order of Saint Alexander was instituted in 1881, by Knyaz Alexander I and was the second highest Bulgarian order during the Kingdom of Bulgaria. It was awarded to both military and civilians, Bulgarians and foreigners,  with the personal benevolence of the Bulgarian monarch, who was the Grand Master. The date "19 February 1878" on the central medalion is the independence date of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire.
