King George V's Coronation Medal, 1911
Circular silver medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with the crowned head and shoulders of King George V and Queen Mary in coronation robes facing left within a wreath of laurel and roses, signed ‘B.M.’ at the base (for the great Australian sculptor Sir Bertram Mackennal, K.C.V.O., R.A., 1863-1931); the reverse with the crowned cipher of King George V above the date ‘22 June 1911’ within a circular beaded border; on probably original shortened ribbon.
